Jason Hawkins.

Jason Hawkins is a vector based illustrator that is mostly used for designing illustrations for children’s book. This work is often childish animals that children of often and frequently shown and are used to seeing. His work is not highly detailed in regard s to the accuracy of matching the illustrations that he creates to the real animals he conveys. Instead he goes for a child friendly style for the animals and this is why he has been commissioned for all of the illustrations that he has done. His designs are made from long clean lines so that the animals or whatever he is designing is not sharp and seem friendlier for the children. His work is clearly done on vectors programs since the colours are similar to many of the other designs achieved using similar programs and are easily observed not to be painted or any other hand done colouring technique. The work he has achieved is more similar to the style of children’s animated films such as ‘Shrek’ rather than illustrations which are more divided, layered and often more detailed. His work is not the type f work that I like or hope to copy in style. His work is suited for childish film and books which is why his work has been commissioned for more children books illustration rather than more mature novels which are less obviously a vector designed piece of illustration.
